Regenerative Therapies
What is PRP?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections, commonly known as the vampire treatment, are increasingly popular for their ability to utilize the body’s own tissues to promote natural healing and rejuvenation. The plasma component contains stem cells and growth-rich platelets, which, when injected into the skin, stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This process helps to reduce fine lines and enhances wound healing. The results continue to improve after the procedure, especially when combined with a series of treatments. Many believe PRP represents the future of skincare, and we wholeheartedly agree.
We utilize a specialized system called the EmCyte for our PRP treatments. This advanced system concentrates platelets to levels more than 15 times higher than those found in regular blood. This high concentration provides numerous advantages, including an increased amount of essential growth factors and proteins that are vital for healing and tissue regeneration. The kits we use are among the best on the market, and while they come at a higher price point, we believe that this investment reflects the effectiveness and quality of our services for our patients.
Facial Treatments
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy creates the illusion of a facelift without actually lifting or moving the tissues. A minimum of three treatments is required, spaced four weeks apart, for optimal results. Healing typically follows a bell-curve pattern and lasts about a month. PRP and facelift injections can be administered on the same day, but no more than three services should be performed per appointment.
Facial Microneedling
Microneedling tightens the skin and improves its texture. It is particularly effective for treating acne scars, post-acne pigmentation, skin tightening, and fine lines. This minimally invasive treatment provides reliable results with minimal discomfort and short healing times.

PRP Facts
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy restores what you already have; it does not create something new.
While PRP can create the illusion of a facelift, it does not lift or move any tissues.
For corrective treatments or severely damaged skin, you may need up to three sessions initially, followed by 1-2 maintenance treatments each year.
Using steroids can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. We strongly recommend stopping steroid usage at least two weeks before your session. Low-dose prednisone that cannot be discontinued may also inhibit results.
PRP and facelift injections can be administered on the same day, but please note that no more than three services can be performed in one appointment.
The results of PRP therapy can vary based on age, as older individuals typically have less regenerative potential and fewer stem cells.
To optimize your results, minimize sugar and alcohol consumption two weeks before and after the treatments, as they can be cytotoxic.
Additionally, tobacco constricts blood flow, and good circulation is crucial for proper regeneration. For several reasons, including the benefits of your treatment, it is advisable to quit smoking.
Important Considerations
-
Avoid consuming sugar, alcohol, and tobacco for two weeks before and after treatments, as these substances can restrict blood flow.
If you are taking steroids, you should discontinue their use at least two weeks prior to the treatment, as they may inhibit your body's natural inflammatory response.
Be mindful that blood thinners can increase the risk of bruising. Plan your procedures accordingly to ensure you have sufficient recovery time before any upcoming events.
-
Bruising is a common occurrence. We recommend applying topical Vitamin K and using contrast hydrotherapy (ice) to support the healing process. Schedule procedures with adequate recovery time in mind, ideally two weeks prior to significant events.
-
Regenerative potential varies by age, necessitating unique considerations for older patients.
Treatments focus on restoring previously held qualities rather than creating what was never there. Skilled practitioners are essential for achieving safe and effective results.
